Casualty has confirmed when this weekend’s episode will air.

Due to the ongoing FIFA World Cup, a lot of the regularly scheduled BBC and ITV programmes are getting shuffled to make room for the matches, and Casualty is one of those which has had to accommodate it.

But fear not, as the Casualty Twitter account has announced with a picture graphic that this weekend’s episode will air on Sunday, December 4 at 8.20pm on BBC One.

This announcement was made alongside the caption: “#Casualty will be back this weekend! Here's everything you need to know.”

The show has some pretty juicy things lined up for its upcoming episodes as we will get to see Paige make a huge mistake, which will have some pretty damning consequences.

After having another run-in with Stevie, Paige goes back to her patient with vigour to prove herself.

In an attempt to prove that she can do just fine without Stevie's supervision, Paige decides to sedate Chase unsupervised, against Jacob's advice.

But things take a turn for the worse as Paige is horrified when she realises Chase isn’t breathing amid the procedure and rushes to fetch some medication to counter the sedative effect.

Stevie and Dylan then find Chase unattended as a result, and they are furious when they discover that he had been unconscious for at least a couple of minutes while Paige was out of the room.

They manage to stabilise Chase, but this mishap understandably has dire consequences for Paige. Dylan is the one who has to deliver the unfortunate news when he calls Paige into his office and tells her that her actions will now have to be reported to the GMC.

And all of this just leads to Paige lashing out at Stevie. To see it all unfold, you’ll just have to watch the show.

Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
