Holby City star Davood Ghadami has called for the soap to be brought back following the news that Neighbours is being revived.
Earlier today (November 17), it was confirmed that the Australian soap will be returning in 2023 on Amazon Freevee, after being axed by Channel 5 earlier this year and bowing out with a final episode over the summer.
Davood, who played Eli Ebrahimi on Holby before it also came to an end this year, suggested the medical series could go a similar route.

"This is great news for @neighbours, I'm really very pleased for them!" he tweeted. "Worth mentioning that @BBCHolbyCity had higher viewing figures [shrug emoji] Hellooooo @AmazonFreevee [waving emoji]."
Holby ran on BBC One for 23 years, though last year the broadcaster axed the series amid "commitment to make more programmes across the UK and to better reflect, represent and serve all parts of the country".
Following the news that Neighbours will be back, many of the show's cast have reacted to the happy news.

However, star Takaya Honda (David Tanaka) has since revealed that many of the stars weren't aware it was coming back until the announcement.
"Just FYI the cast is finding this out right now. Give us time to process. We don't know anything," he tweeted.
The soap is due back in the second half of 2023 on Freevee UK and the USA, and Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. However, Australia's Network 10 will have first showing rights of new episodes in the country.
Selected episodes of Holby City are streaming on BBC iPlayer. Neighbours will return in 2023 on Amazon Freevee. Catch-up episodes are available via My 5 (UK) and 10 Play (Australia).
