Casualty spoilers follow.
Casualty is back this weekend (January 7) following a break for Christmas.
Dylan takes centre stage when a blast from the past leads to a worrying discovery, while a new story for Rash begins.
Here's a full collection of the biggest moments to watch out for:
1. Dylan gets a blast from the past
Marcus is pleasantly surprised when Dylan confirms he will be at the management training session but becomes distracted by incoming patients from a fire at a care home.
To Dylan’s horror, he recognises Dr Jemima Hargrove amongst them; one of his teachers from medical school.
2. Dylan makes a shock discovery
Dylan is concerned when the police insist they need to question Dr Hargrove because she is suspected of starting the fire. The questioning distresses Dr Hargrove and Dylan insists that it stops.
When another patient – Shazia – is rushed into the ED and later passes away, Dr Hargrove is distraught.
She tells Dylan that she is responsible for Shazia's death as she caused the fire.
3. Rash's dad is back
Rash is thrown when his dad Ashok enters the ED with his partner Mona, who has trapped her finger in a door.
As Rash examines her, Ashok apologises for what happened but Mona insists it was her fault.
4. Paige grows suspicious
Rash spots an opportunity to introduce his dad to Paige, and assigns her to treat Mona instead.
As she does, Ashok lets slip that Mona doesn’t like him going out on his own anymore. Paige also notices that Mona has control of their money and phones, and shares her concerns with Rash.
Paige tells Rash what she’s witnessed and questions if Ashok has done something wrong that he is trying to hide.
5. Dylan vows to get answers
Dylan is trying to put the pieces together over the fire when Dr Hargrove's son Campbell arrives. Dylan notices she seems afraid of him and questions whether she started the fire by accident or because someone was hurting her.
Dylan is on the verge of getting an answer when Marcus summons him to the management training session. While Dylan is there, Dr Hargrove crashes and is unable to be resuscitated.
Devastated, Dylan grows further suspicious of Campbell when he seems unaffected by the news of his mother’s death.
Convinced that Dr Hargrove started the fire at the care home due to her abusive son, Dylan hopes to get some clues when he finds her notebook.
6. Charlie gives Rash some advice
As Rash deals with his patients, he worries about whether Ashok may be having an affair.
He confronts Ashok about it once Mona has been discharged, warning him not to ruin what he has got with her.
Charlie later urges Rash to check if Ashok is ok, explaining that he understands there can be a stigma around mental decline in some communities.
Rash is shocked to realise Charlie thinks Ashok’s strange behaviour is due to dementia and brushes aside his concerns.
7. Rash faces a dilemma
Rash is called away by Mona, only to discover that she has been struggling to cope with Ashok – who is clearly unwell.
Realising Charlie was right, Rash demands to know why Mona tried to conceal it from him for all this time.
Mona tells Rash the severity of the situation; Ashok forgets how to cross roads, who she is, and also gets aggressive with her.
Unable to cope anymore, Mona insists that she's leaving – throwing Rash into a dilemma over how to break the news to Ashok, and what they are going to do now.
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
