Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas has shared a sweet video of his son Teddy finding out he landed the role of Tommy.
The BBC soap returned to our screens last month after nearly nine years, with Adam reprising his role as Donte Charles, who is now a caretaker at the school he used to wreak havoc at as a teen.
It was also a family affair for the actor, as his on-screen children Tommy and Izzy are played by his real-life son Teddy and niece Scarlett, respectively.

Appearing on the Loose Women panel on Wednesday (February 1), Adam shared a heartwarming video of Teddy breaking down after telling him: "They've offered you the part, Teddy," to which his cousin Scarlett added: "So welcome to Waterloo Road!"
Naturally, the emotional clip made the whole panel shed a tear or two, as Adam told them: "Moments like that, you can’t buy. You really can't."
The former Emmerdale actor continued: "To be able to give my son the news like that... he didn’t originally get the part in the first place."

Adam went on to explain that another young actor was originally cast in the role, but when he was unable to accept it, Teddy was offered the part instead.
"He's just super talented," Adam gushed. "But not only is he super talented, he's got a heart of gold. He really is a good kid. I'm a very proud father."
The premiere episode also saw the return of Donte's high school sweetheart, Chlo (played by Katie Griffiths). However, things took a shocking turn later on in the episode when Chlo was rushed to hospital after collapsing and Donte was given the tragic news that his wife had died.
Waterloo Road airs on Tuesday nights on BBC One. The new series is currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
