Waterloo Road spoilers follow for the next episode (January 24) follow which some readers may prefer to avoid.
Next week on Waterloo Road, Amy is faced with a surprise visitor from her past, while Kelly Jo sparks concern and Donte starts work at the school.
Here's a full collection of the six biggest moments to watch out for:
1. Preston's problems intensify
Preston's bulimia story will continue next week, as his notable change in behaviour sparks concern with both his mum Nicky and girlfriend Samia.
Preston is unsettled to learn that Nicky has been questioning Samia on what's going on and his frustrations later spill over in a basketball game.
Preston gets benched when becoming aggressive on the court and later has another bulimia episode.
Overwhelmed, Preston has an argument with Samia when she tries to reach out to him and confides in Nicky that he is struggling to deal with their relationship.
2. Amy faces her past
Determined to prove herself, Amy organises a visit from a drama company to deliver workshops to the students.
She's taken back to see that her ex–boyfriend Fred is the facilitator and they are forced to work together throughout the day.
Unfortunately, the workshop takes a turn when Kelly Jo struggles to cope and Amy finds herself increasingly irritated with Fred's insensitive behaviour.
Fred's true colours are revealed when he tells Amy he needs a place to stay, and gets nasty with her when she refuses.
3. Donte starts his new job
It's Donte’s first day as the caretaker and he's determined to try and look to the future.
Joe tells him about the school’s ‘Men Together’ grief support group and urges Neil – who also lost his wife a year ago – to join him.
Donte is initially reluctant but agrees to give it a go after some encouragement from Izzy. He's touched when Neil joins him after all, and the men bond over their grief.
4. Kelly Jo is sent for an ADHD assessment
Kelly Jo struggles to cope in Amy's drama workshop and ends up having a complete meltdown.
Having ignored Coral's earlier advice to remove her, Amy finds herself out of her depth in regards to Kelly Jo's behaviour – especially when she turns violent.
Thankfully, Donte is on hand to help, leaning on his experience with his young son Tommy.
When Kelly Jo's mum Deb arrives at the school, Amy explains that she believes the schoolgirl might have ADHD.
Amy refers Kelly Jo for an ADHD assessment, but Kim insists she still needs to be sent to the Behavioural Unit, as per the school's wider rules.
5. Coral gets a warning
Coral's behaviour towards Amy will finally be called into question next week.
As Kim praises her for how she handled Kelly Jo, Amy takes the opportunity to share how she hasn't felt all that supported by the Head of Department.
Kim later gives Coral a warning; insisting she does better – or she could be out of a job.
6. Kim and Lindon grow closer
Sparks will continue to fly between Kim and Lindon next week as they spend time together after work.
After a challenging day, Kim and Lindon go for a drink together, where they end up sharing an accidental kiss...
