Waterloo Road has aired the return of another classic character tonight (January 10), as Chlo Charles' funeral was held.

Chlo died from injuries she got after being hit by a car during the riot in the first episode, and her funeral was held in tonight's episode. While an understandably emotional affair, fans were treated to a comeback from Janeece Bryant, the pupil turned school secretary played by Chelsee Healey.

At the funeral, Chlo's grieving husband used his speech to tear into headteacher Kim Campbell, telling her that Chlo would still be alive if she had done her job properly, before walking out of the church.

That's when Janeece turned up in a taxi, complete with massive hoop earrings and a bright furry coat. She made Donte smile when she gifted him some jewellery that was meant to be engraved with 'WWCD' for 'What Would Chlo Do', but she got the letters the wrong way around, and instead it asked What Would Do Chlo?

The pair went back inside and Janeece took over reading Donte's speech before he got the courage to finish it himself, choosing to focus on the good things Chlo brought to the world, rather than his anger.

It's only a brief return for Janeece, as Healey is busy appearing full time in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Goldie McQueen.

Elsewhere in the school, the drama continued. There were arguments about the changing of the school's name, Danny narrowly avoided getting kicked out after covering for two bullies and it looks like Kim has the hots for deputy headteacher Lindon.

Waterloo Road continues next Wednesday at 8pm, while the entirety of the classic series and the new episodes are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
