6 huge Waterloo Road spoilers for next week

What's next at the school?

Waterloo Road spoilers for the next episode follow which some readers may prefer to avoid.

Next week on Waterloo Road, the Walters family are forced to deal with an unexpected crisis, which pushes a stressed Preston to the brink.

Meanwhile, Tonya and Izzy skip school, and Donte is given a new opportunity.

Here's a full collection of the biggest moments to watch out for:

    1. Nicky's problems intensify

As Nicky's money problems worsen, she's horrified when the family are evicted from their flat.

Nicky, Preston and Tonya are mortified as they are forced to take all their belongings to school, where word starts to spread about their situation.

Determined to sort things, Preston suggests they move in with Kelly-Jo and her mum Debs (played by former Hollyoaks star Hollie-Jay Bowes), but Nicky has to swallow her pride first.

    2. Preston's story is revealed

With the Walters family dealing with an unexpected crisis, Preston tries to put on a brave face, but it's clear the situation is pushing him to the brink.

As Preston continues to overexert himself with exercise, he later has a panic attack, but makes Lindon promise not to share this with his mum.

It eventually becomes apparent that Preston is dealing with bulimia, as he makes himself sick while alone after school.

    3. Izzy and Tonya rebel

Izzy is preparing to return to school after Chlo's death, but grows frustrated by Donte's lackadaisical attitude.

Izzy has a good support system at school, with English teacher Amy agreeing to keep a close eye on her, but she soon finds herself being led astray by fellow pupil Tonya.

Keen to cheer Izzy up, Tonya suggests they bunk off school for the afternoon – but it's not long before news of their disappearance sparks concern.

The girls are later brought back in a police car, but how will Donte cope with this on top of everything else?

    4. Donte gets offered a new job

Donte is struggling to adapt to life as a single parent, while consumed with grief for his late wife Chlo.

After being given a reality check by Izzy, Donte heads to the school to sort out her lunch money card – determined to step up for sake of his children.

While he is there, Donte finds himself roped into saving Coral – who is stuck in the school freezer (yep, really) – and later gets offered the job of school caretaker.

    5. Kai faces the music

Kai's backstory will be explored next week when his sister Salma shows up at the school with some home truths.

Kai, who has been living in a hostel with his friend Danny, is mortified when Salma reveals that their parents are simply abroad at a funeral, and he's been taking advantage of her lengthy work hours in their absence.

As Salma insists that Kai returns home and face the music, the reality of this devastates Danny on an already difficult day.

    6. Danny gets devastating news

Danny will be dealt another devastating blow next week, as the school continues to search for his mum.

Danny later hears that his mum has been found in Birmingham, but she doesn't want contact with him.

As he prepares for another night in the hostel, Danny is touched when Valerie offers him her spare room instead.

Waterloo Road airs on Tuesday nights on BBC One. The new series is currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
