I'm a Celebrity star Iain Lee has announced his retirement from radio after 30 years.
The broadcaster, writer, TV host and stand-up comedian shared the news on Twitter, saying he had handed in his notice to Jack FM where he had worked since last year.
"Hey everyone, a bit of news, a few weeks ago I handed my notice in at Jack FM. Not sure how long I've got left," he wrote.
He revealed that having "no producer, podcast or daily best bits" contributed towards his decision to leave, whilst also announcing his decision to leave radio broadcasting in a permanent capacity to focus on counselling work full time.

"There are of course exceptions," he continued. "Patreon will continue, as will voiceover work and the odd gig on 4 Extra. I'll still consider offers but won't chase them."
He went on to thank his followers for their words of support, as well as the radio industry, saying "for most of it it was a blast".
Lee began his radio career in December 1997, presenting a four-hour show on Horizon 103.3, an independent station in Milton Keynes. He rose to stardom as co-host of The 11 O'Clock Show from 1998 to 2000 and the breakfast show RI:SE in 2003.
Lee went full-time in his radio career in 2005, after previously also working as a stand-up comedian, hosting mainly talk-based shows on LBC 97.3, Absolute Radio, BBC Three Counties Radio, BBC Radio WM, and talkRADIO.

In 2020, he launched his own Twitch channel after his talkRADIO contract was not renewed, and in 2022 he was announced as the new presenter of Jack FM's breakfast show, Iain Lee's Rude Awakening.
Aside from his work in radio, in 2017 Lee appeared on the seventeenth series of I'm a Celebrity, making it all the way to the final and finishing in third place.
He has made regular appearances on Sky News and This Morning and has also hosted the likes of Good Morning Britain.
