We might be beyond the halfway point in January, but there are still plenty of new year deals to take advantage of, including big savings on EE's popular unlimited data SIM plans.
EE offers SIM-only contracts that range from just 1GB on the low end right up to unlimited, and it's the latter that we're focusing on here, with the network relaunching its 6 Months Half Price offer on the most expensive plans it sells.
If you take the standard unlimited plan right now, you'll pay £14 a month for the first six months of your contract, then £28 a month from month seven onwards, saving you £84 overall. To claim this offer, you must commit to a minimum contract length of 24 months.

You can alternatively choose to pay £18 (usually £36) a month for the first six months of a two-year plan and claim one of EE's Inclusive Extras, which include a choice of subscriptions to Netflix, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and BT Sport, or the ability to take your inclusive minutes, texts and data allowance abroad.
If 24 months is too long for you, you might want to consider EE's other unlimited data plans. At the time of writing there are no special offers on 12-month unlimited SIM-only contracts, but you can save £4 a month on a rolling one-month plan, which right now will cost you either £31 a month (usually £35, maximum 100Mbps speeds) or £34 a month (usually £38, uncapped fastest speeds).

Before committing to any SIM-only plan with EE, you'll want to read its statement on price rises, which is as follows:
"The monthly price shown, add-ons and all out of bundle charges will increase on or after 31st March every year by the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation published in January that year, plus 3.9%. See ee.co.uk/increase for details. Please note the cost of other services you take from us may increase or decrease while you're an EE customer."
