Babylon, the period epic starring Margot Robbie, has announced its home video release with a Blu-ray steelbook.

The film, which is directed by Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle, charts the rise and fall of several aspiring actors as Hollywood transitions from silent to sound.

With the film currently playing in cinemas, Zavvi has unveiled its editions for the film, with the listings including a DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook.

The latter, which comes with a Blu-ray disc, boasts a slick cover with Robbie front and centre in a red dress surrounded by some of the film’s other stars, which includes Brad Pitt and Diego Calva. The steelbook, which is yet to have a release date, is currently available to pre-order for £34.99.

The film, which clocks in at a whopping 189 minutes, has bombed at the box office so far, grossing only $28.4 million against a $78 million budget. The polarising critical response, as well as being swamped by Avatar: The Way of Water, are likely reasons for its commercial failure.

Robbie, who is due to appear in Asteroid City and Barbie later this year, recently revealed she felt “mortified” when set pictures from the latter went viral after being leaked.

"I can't tell you how mortified we were, by the way. We look like we're laughing, having fun, but we're dying on the inside," she said. "I was like 'this is the most humiliating moment of my life.'

"I knew once [we] were doing exteriors, [we're] gonna get papped," she said of the news the pictures generated. "We stand out a little bit in those outfits, so I knew there was going to be a little bit of attention, and probably some photos would get out there, but not like it did. It was mad."

Babylon is currently in cinemas.
