Death in Paradise fans have spotted a clue that this season could be DI Neville Parker's last.
While tonight's episode (January 20) followed the story of a mysterious death of estate agent and con artist Cheryl Horner, viewers were more focused on whether Neville's time on the island could soon be over.
Unsure on how to proceed with the case, Neville contacts his friend and ex-colleague Andrew Buckley, who specialises in fraud. He is able to track down Cheryl's true identity, unmasking her as con artist Darianna Green, with the tip helping Neville and the team crack the case.
However, it appears that Andy has a bigger role to play on the island, seeming agitated while talking to Neville on Skype before arriving on the island in secret in a cliffhanger.
Fans were quick to pick up on his strange behaviour, speculating what it could mean for Neville in upcoming episodes.

"Soooo who is Andy and what is gonna happen when he arrives at Catherine’s bar next week?" one person wrote.
Viewers also wondered if Andy could have links to Neville's former girlfriend Sophie or Robert Webb's character Justin West. "Definitely a link between last week's ending with Robert Webb and the way this week's ended with that Andy. All seems to point towards DI Neville Parker leaving this series, one way or another," one viewer commented.
"Think she was a set up and Andy might now be out following up on that!! Poor Neville. Think he’s caught up in something big," another viewer added, replying to a fan theory about Sophie's true motives on the island.

Meanwhile, Neville's thoughts are currently preoccupied with Sophie – with fans also wondering if his feelings could play a part in a potential exit from Port Royal.
Could Neville's time on the island really be drawing to an end?
Death in Paradise airs on Friday nights at 9pm on BBC One; the spin-off, Beyond Paradise, is currently in production.
