This year has been pretty excellent for gamers, there are two super-powered, next-gen games consoles finding their footing (Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X/S), plus Nintendo's new Switch OLED model hitting stores, and a slew of new games to play, so we've been pretty spoiled.
Now, it looks like it's about to get better, as the Black Friday sales drop prices on controllers, headphones, consoles or a few additions to your library.
And we don't just mean the hardware. Top games like FIFA 22, Far Cry 6, Battlefield: 2042, Pokèmon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion are now available to buy at a reduced price.
Black Friday has stretched from a single weekend of sales to more than a week of discounted gadgets. You can expect offers from the likes of Amazon, GAME, AO, Argos, Currys, Very, eBay, ShopTo, and pretty much anybody else who sells gaming gear.
Best Black Friday PlayStation 5 deals 2021
Despite being available to buy for the past year, there are no Black Friday deals on the snazzy PS5 just yet, given the issues Sony has had with stock levels, there's still so much demand for the shiny new console, so we can't see them dropping prices anytime soon.
However, we have covered the best places to buy the PS5 (when they are in stock) and there are still a few consoles floating around, but be warned, you have to act quickly before they sell out. There are some consoles being resold on eBay, but obviously, these are often at inflated prices, or second-hand.
eBay: Ps5 Disc edition - in stock | PS5 digital edition - in stock - prices inflated.
OnBuy: PS5 in stock - prices inflated and starting from £639.
GAME: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
Amazon: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
AO: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
Argos: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
Currys: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
ShopTo: Currently out of PlayStation 5 stock.
Many of these retailers currently say they are out of stock and that might change daily as each online store gets more, but keep checking back throughout November and December to get the latest news.

When is Black Friday 2021?
Black Friday this year is scheduled for November 26, with Cyber Monday falling on November 29. However, as we have mentioned, retailers have already begun sales, including Amazon's Black Friday Week, and early discounts on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox Series S and X.
What is Black Friday?
If you've somehow never taken part in the sale before, it's one of the biggest shopping events of the year. It began as an American holiday after celebrating Thanksgiving but is now a global chance to grab a bargain or two on that item you've been keeping an eye on.
You'll find some big discounts on anything from home gadgets and clothing, and hundreds of retailers take part every year. Historically, it's always been a good chance to get discounts on 4K TVs, games consoles, smartphones and gadgets, so keep an eye on this page to find out the best offers.
A word of caution though. Some retailers will artificially bump up the price ahead of the sale, creating the illusion that they've whacked a massive discount on products.
