You season 4 trailer teases end of the road for Joe Goldberg

"I ran away from all this. But one of you is watching me."

You spoilers ahead.

You season 4 has just released its first trailer for the two-part run coming up this year – and Joe Goldberg might be about to meet his end.

It is unconfirmed whether or not this is the final season of You or if Penn Badgley's Joe really will meet his end – but the tantalising trailer shows that Netflix is going all out for this series.

At the end of season 3, Joe staged a murder-suicide and framed Love (Victoria Pedretti) for the Madre Linda murders before jetting off to Paris in search of Marienne (Tati Gabrielle).

The season 4 trailer reveals that Joe has relocated to London and is posing as a professor at a university – where he has fallen in with a bunch of rich, privileged people (including one character played by EastEnders' Tilly Keeper).

At one point, Marienne confronts Joe and calls him a murderer. Joe is then shown to be trying to keep a low profile in his new London life but a potential new love interest throws those plans into array.

Meanwhile, British media reports on multiple murders amongst the rich elite. One of Joe’s new acquaintances says: "They’re calling him the 'eat-the-rich' killer."

Joe turns investigator as he tries to figure out who the murderer is – but his investigation takes a twist as an unknown person begins texting and stalking him.

"I ran away from all this. But one of you is watching me. One of you is hiding in plain sight. So who are you?” Joe says amidst flashes of bloody violence.

“I just want my little European holiday back,” before a final shot shows Joe approaching the rich elite in what looks like something out of Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion. Joe – acting as detective – confronts a group of suspects.
