The Apprentice spoilers follow.

The Apprentice star Denisha Kaur Bharj has announced that she's pregnant with her first child.

Denisha made the happy announcement during spin-off show You're Fired with Tom Allen immediately after the end of the show's most recent episode – which saw Denisha become the fourth candidate to be fired.

Following her exit from the series, the Leicestershire based financial controller was interviewed about her time on the series, but not before she revealed her pregnancy.

"Something's changed about you Denisha, I can't quite put my finger on it," joked comedian Tom after she made her entrance.

"It might be that I’m building a family as well as business now!" she replied.

As project manager of the losing team, Denisha found herself in Lord Sugar's direct firing line this week, following Team Apex's poor performance in the item buying task.

Both teams headed down to Brighton to search for nine specific items of significance to the area – including a nautical barometer, a 45 RPM vinyl of the winner of Eurovision in 1974 (ABBA's 'Waterloo') and Sahara Desert roses.

However, Denisha's team struggled to track down the Sahara Desert roses as they were unsure what the item was.

The blunder, as well as not being able to locate all nine correct items, meant that Denisha's team lost the task. "Denisha, you're clearly no good at logistics, because it was like organised chaos," Lord Sugar said in the boardroom.

"You had your chance to show me whether you were any good at logistics and dealing with people... So it is with regret, Denisha, that you're fired."

The Apprentice airs on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
