The Apprentice has seen off another candidate after a challenge involving the promotion of an electric bike.

In tonight's (February 2) episode, the teams were tasked with creating an advertising campaign for an electric motorbike. Lord Sugar informed the contestants they would have to come up with a name and a logo as well as a TV advert and a digital billboard before pitching to industry experts.

Following a confusing brainstorming and a disappointing pitching session for both teams, it was Shazia Hussain who was sent home.

Led by bike enthusiast Bradley Johnson as project manager, one team couldn't agree on the name and message they wanted to convey.

This led Shazia — who had put herself forward to be in charge of the advertising and the rest of the team to brush off Bradley's name and vision and present something else entirely.

The team then hired an actress who couldn't ride a bike and had to change the TV commercial story at the last minute, ultimately not featuring anyone actually on the bike – a tiny detail that was mentioned during the pitching session, where Avi Sharma's name Zip Zap was also deemed "dreadful."

Meanwhile, Marnie Swindells' group wanted to appeal to petrolheads with a "sexy" campaign. Her team's "ride dirty, drive clean" approach to promote the Soldier bike left the industry professionals unimpressed and was slammed as clichéd.

Overall, Lord Sugar preferred her group's campaign, meaning that someone on Bradley's team risked not going back to the house.

After acknowledging that his authority as project manager had been undermined with detrimental results, Bradley picked Shazia and Avi to go back to the boardroom. Lord Sugar consulted with aides Karren Brady and Tim Campbell, ultimately choosing to dismiss Shazia over her "rubbish" campaign and multiple mistakes.

The Apprentice airs on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
