Fast X star reveals first look at returning Fast & Furious villain

"She's back baby."

Fast & Furious star Charlize Theron has shared the first look at her returning villain Cipher in the upcoming Fast X.

Charlize made her Fast debut five years ago in The Fate of the Furious, before wreaking cyber-havoc a second time in the franchise's ninth outing, F9, last year.

Now, following newcomer Jason Momoa's recent reveal, Cipher is officially back in action – and Charlize has the Instagram receipts to prove it.

Alongside a black-and-white shot of her character, and a glimpse behind the scenes, Charlize told followers: "She's back baby."

The reveal of Cipher comes after Jason Momoa confirmed that he would shooting alongside the Fast baddie when he joins the series as a "a very flamboyant bad boy". What else?

"I get to shoot with some really cool people that I have never – I get to work with Charlize first up, which I'm really excited about. She's amazing," the Aquaman star said earlier this month.

"Then I get to go to some cool places. Obviously work with the whole cast – most of the cast." Opening up about his new role, Jason described his unnamed baddie as "amazing, ornery", and "misunderstood".

Alongside Charlize and Jason, it was confirmed last week that fan-favourites Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Jordana Brewster will all be back at the wheel for Fast X.

Captain Marvel's Brie Larson is also on board as the franchise's newest family member.

In a recent Instagram announcement, Fast lead Vin Diesel praised the Brie's "beauty" and "intellect", promising fans that her character will be a "timeless and amazing" addition to the Fast "mythology".

The Suicide Squad's Daniela Melchior is due to join the cast in an undisclosed role, too, so by all accounts, Fast X is shaping up to be even faster and more furious than its predecessors.
