Stacey Solomon has confirmed the sex of her baby with a pair of adorable photographs.

The television personality, who appears as a panellist on Loose Women, is expecting her third child with husband Joe Swash, and took to social media today to provide an update for fans.

Posing for a couple of photos with daughter Rose, Stacey announced that she and Joe would be welcoming another baby girl to the family, writing: “When Rose found out she's going to have a… sister.

"So excited to share with you that we are going to be saying hello to another darling daughter soon," she continued. "Sisters. The boys are so excited. And the thought of Rose having a little sister as well as all of her amazing big brothers has filled our hearts."

In the rest of the caption, Stacey spoke about the power of sisterhood, concluding by paying tribute to her own family: "I have the most incredible sisters in the world. They are my everything. I'm so excited for the boys, Rose and our newest little girl."

The news may come as a surprise to fans, with some followers suspecting that Stacey was having a boy after picking up on cues in her posts earlier this month.

Stacey recently quelled rumours that she had already given birth, explaining that she took a break from social media in order to get some rest.

"Sorry, I'm very much still full-term pregnant, I just really wanted to try and make it to a couple of days before the baby comes," she explained.

"I know I can't control it, but my midwife was like: 'If you want a chance of getting to those days, calm the hell down and don't do anything silly.'

"So I've been trying to rest and I made it to today, which I'm so excited about."

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
