Yesterday, Stacey Solomon revealed via Instagram that she and her husband Joe Swash are expecting their third child.

The Loose Women star shared the happy news with her fans, which comes months after she and Joe tied the knot.

However, many viewers of the show were confused about why Stacey's pregnancy wasn't mentioned on today's (December 29) Loose Women instalment, with Coleen Nolan stepping in to explain that pre-recording was the only factor.

Stacey's Instagram post from December 28 featured a video of the moment she shared the baby news with Joe, along with the caption "Me + Him = 👦🏻👦🏼👦🏼🧒🏼👧🏼👶 So grateful & can not believe I’m saying this… Another little pickle is on the way… 😭 A HUGE surprise, but one that we are so thankful for 🥹 to the moon & back bub @realjoeswashy 🖤🕊"

Her castmate Coleen posted a reaction on Twitter today, sharing her happiness for the pair: "Another pickle already?! The Cottage is going to need an extension at this rate! But seriously, massive congratulations @StaceySolomon & @realjoeswash.

"Couldn’t be happier for you both"

Responding to the exciting news, some fans of Loose Women tweeted in response, questioning why Stacey's pregnancy wasn't shared or spoken about in today's episode.

Coleen was quick to clarify, and made it clear that there was no mystery behind the exclusion of her co-star's new addition.

"PS, to everyone who’ve tweeted in wondering why it wasn’t mentioned on today’s @loosewomen, it’s because the episodes between Christmas and New Years were pre-recorded," she wrote.

She also added that the filming schedule was planned and shared with fans, saying: "No big secret, the pre-records were announced in the Christmas lineup!"

So, while the episodes running during the holidays were filmed in advance in order to give cast and crew a festive break, everything will be back to the normal schedule soon. No doubt Stacey will then be able to make her television announcement of her growing family.

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.
