Scrubs alum Zach Braff and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens have teamed up for a new indie movie called French Girl.
The movie stars Braff as high school teacher Gordon Kinski who journeys to his girlfriend Sophie's (Evelyne Brochu) hometown of Québec City. There, Sophie tries out at a 3 Michelin star restaurant, which is owned by young super-chef Ruby (Hudgens).
The movie is co-written and co-directed by James A. Woods and Nicolas Wright and is currently in production. There is no release date as of yet.

The movie is one of a number of recent and upcoming indie films Braff has starred in, although he did also have a cameo in a major Disney+ series, too. He voiced Freck in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Braff, who split from Florence Pugh earlier this year, starred in the popular comedy series Scrubs as JD. Earlier this year, he was asked yet again if there are any plans for a Scrubs revival.
"There are no plans. We all want to do it in some capacity, whether it's a movie or a limited series or something," Braff said.

"If the thing was right, I'm sure there's not a single cast member that wouldn't love to come back together and do it in some form."
Hudgens, meanwhile, could potentially face a revival of her own. She teased fans in October by visiting the school High School Musical was filmed in. With original stars such as Corbin Bleu returning for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, fans wondered if Hudgens would be reprising her role as Gabriella Montez for the first time in 14 years.
Hudgens, however, said: "I don't know. We leave it up to fate. Leave it up to the gods."
