Gemma Arterton has explained why she wouldn't take on her James Bond role anymore.
While the actress insisted she has "enormous gratitude" for the part of Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace, and the doors it opened, she said that the character was too one-dimensional for her to play in her career now.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Arterton stated that she had no idea "how long that film would follow [her] around", adding: "You know, I haven't seen it for about 15 years either, so I can't really remember what's in it or what I did, but I know I wouldn't choose a role like that now.

"Because she was funny and she was sweet, but she didn't really have anything to do – or a backstory."
It's worth pointing out that Quantum of Solace released in 2008 – which was 12 years ago, not 15 – but it's not exactly the most memorable Bond movie, so you can't blame Arterton for getting that wrong.
In recent years, the star has focused on her own production company and the female-led content it creates, as well as pushing for equal pay in the entertainment industry.

Arterton will also appear in the Kingsman spin-off The King's Man, and she revealed that she was impressed with director Matthew Vaughn's intention to create "strong female characters".
The actress's first theatrical movie role was actually in St Trinian's, not Quantum of Solace. Neither is regarded as a classic of cinema, but the former does at least have a terrific theme song.
No Time to Die, the 25th James Bond movie, has a new release date of November 12 in the UK and November 20 in the US. All the previous Bond movies are available on DVD or Blu-ray.
