Netflix has unveiled the first look at its upcoming film Bank of Dave, starring Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and James Bond's Rory Kinnear.

Directed by Chris Foggin, Bank of Dave tells the true story of self-made millionaire Dave Fishwick, who gained national recognition in 2011 for founding a community bank after discovering that small businesses in his hometown of Burnley had difficulty obtaining loans from larger banks.

The first stills from the movie depict Kinnear as Fishwick. One captures a reporter interviewing him, and another shows him smiling in court.

Two other stills see Game of Thrones and Yesterday actor Joel Fry, who plays a young London lawyer Fishwick hires to fight his case against the British financial system, conversing with Dynevor's character Alexandra, the local doctor.

Bank of Dave will focus on how Fishwick started his company, Burnley Savings and Loans, which is well-known for its charitable donations and was the subject of a documentary of the same name on Channel 4 in 2012.

Additional cast members include Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, Game of Thrones' Paul Kaye, and After Life's Jo Hartley.

Meanwhile, Dynevor is set to star in the Amazon futuristic thriller The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne.

Based on Jonathan Stroud's 2021 novel of the same name and directed by James Bobin (Alice Through the Looking Glass), the film will follow formidable outlaw Scarlett McCain (Dynevor) as she discovers the wreckage of a coach with only one survivor in sight.

Alongside The Perks of Being a Wallflower's Logan Lerman, Dynevor will also appear in the upcoming romantic comedy The Threesome, which tells the story of a young man's life after he makes an impulsive decision.

Bank of Dave will be released on Netflix on January 16.
