That '70s Show's Mila Kunis disagrees with one big thing in Netflix sequel show

The star called "BS" on the script.

That '70s Show star Mila Kunis has confessed that she was shocked to discover who her character ended up with in the forthcoming spin-off That '90s Show.

Following the lead of other popular noughties series getting the reboot/sequel treatment in recent years, That '70s Show was confirmed last year to be getting its own spin-off in the form of That '90s Show on Netflix.

The original hit series followed six teenage friends during the 1970s as they navigated high school, love, sex, and the awkwardness of being teenagers.

Ever since the spin-off was announced, fans have been left wondering what the lives of the beloved characters would look like two decades later.

Co-stars Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are happily married in real life. However, the Family Guy actress has revealed that she was shocked to find out their characters – Jackie and Michael – would be together on That '90s Show.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Kunis called "BS" on the storyline and argued that her character should have ended up with someone else.

"My husband and I are together in [the new show], which is weird 'cause we shouldn't have been," Kunis said.

"You know what, I called BS. I was like, 'My character would be with Fez'. I think that I ended up with Wilmer [Valderrama]'s character. And I was like, 'Why are you and I together?' And also, he was married when '70s ended, to Shannon Elizabeth's character, I think.

"Now we're like 20 years – no, 16 years later, whatever it is – and now we're married with a kid. And I was like, 'I don't know about this one'."

Kunis also went on to share that she thinks the upcoming spin-off is "very cute", adding: "Anyone who has ever watched or loved That '70s Show will be really happy with it."

Plenty of the sitcom's original stars are set to return in the spin-off, including Kunis and Kutcher. NCIS star Wilmer Valderrama also recently hinted that there is a possibility he could reprise his role as exchange student Fez.

However, one star that won't be returning is Danny Masterson, who is set to stand trial following multiple sexual assault allegations made against him, which he has denied.
