The best Christmas 2022 Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra deals
Time for a phone upgrade?
If you've been thinking about trading in your old phone to upgrade for something new, now could be the time to do so, as Samsung's flagship smartphone range for 2022 is available to buy for less during the festive period.
As is tradition, the South Korean tech giant released three new S22 handsets earlier this year: the more affordable S22 (with a starting RRP of £769), the slightly larger S22+ (RRP from £949), and the premium, top-spec S22 Ultra (RRP from £1,149), with each device providing a fairly big upgrade on last year’s models.
Like most smartphone upgrades in recent years, these models come with longer-lasting batteries, better lenses and smoother displays. The latest S22 phones have been available since February 24 and we've spent a lot of time since scouring the internet to find all the best deals.

All the top networks are offering contracts on all three phones, so whether you're already hooked up with EE, Three, Vodafone, O2, GiffGaff, or Sky Mobile, or you're planning on buying a new handset directly from Samsung, you're sure to find a great bargain to help keep monthly costs low.
You might also be able to trade in your old Samsung smartphone to get a discount on your new device, though the amount of money you get back is dependent on how well you managed to look after your handset.
As always, we recommend you shop around a bit to find the right deal for you, as it's easy to get locked into a two-year (or longer) contract overpaying for data or minutes you simply don’t need or use.

Most networks allow you to customise your plan to get the right price for you, so do your research. However, almost all online stores will have roughly the same prices across the board, particularly if you're buying the phone outright.

All three phones get the silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate on the displays, helping you glide through your social media pages and making your games look more realistic than ever.
The S22 has the smallest display, but still offers fast charging, a great triple-lens camera setup, and an impressive new processor to keep things running smoothly – at the lowest price of the three, starting from £769.
The S22+ is slightly larger (by about half an inch) and has many of the same features but a higher starting £949 RRP. Go for this if you prefer the bigger display for gaming or streaming the latest shows on the go. Its bigger battery goes a long way too.

Finally, the Ultra is for those who must have the biggest and best model, costing at least £1,149 in total. Not only is the display stretched a further .2" from corner to corner, but it should also be brighter and give more detail, especially with the wider colour gamut.
While the entire S22 family gets a significant camera upgrade to previous models (with the ability to auto-track up to 10 faces to make your videos feel more cinematic and to guarantee you get everyone in the shot), the S22 Ultra is a photographer's dream thanks to a four-lens setup that includes two telephoto lenses, a wide, and an ultra-wide.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will help clean up your shots and draw out as much detail as possible, which should mean we'll be able to take Instagram-worthy pictures more often.
