On the lookout for a new smartphone to bring in the New Year? If your contract is coming to its end in the next few months or if you just fancy an upgrade to your existing handset, now is one of the best times to get a new one thanks to the Christmas sales.
Most networks in the UK like to end the year with a bang, dropping discounts on some of the latest devices available, with the likes of EE, Sky Mobile, O2, and Vodafone all taking part this year.

Whether you're after a brand-new Apple iPhone 14 to keep up with the zeitgeist, a feature-packed Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, or maybe an unlimited data SIM card to put in a phone you already love, there's a Three deal for you. That is, unless you're looking for a new broadband package, as Three isn't running any promotions on these this year.
All the deals below will run until December 19 2022.
Three Christmas 2022 iPhone deals
Looking to upgrade your iPhone this Christmas? Three can help with that. The network is currently offering this year’s iPhone 14 on a 24-month plan for £55 a month with a £30 upfront payment. That scores you 100GB of data and unlimited minutes and texts, with a saving of £144 over the duration of your contract. To give you an idea of the value, an inferior 30GB plan, which is not included in the Christmas promotion, would cost you £59 a month, so £4 more per month for significantly less data to burn through on Netflix.
If you’re upgrading from a much older iPhone (or any older phone for that matter) and don’t need the most recent Apple handset, Three will also sell you the iPhone 13 for £43 a month across 24 months, with a £30 upfront payment. This also applies to a 100GB data plan.
Three Christmas 2022 Samsung Galaxy deals
Three has Samsung deals at both ends of the South Korean giant’s smartphone spectrum. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, which as you can probably tell by the name is this year’s Samsung flagship offering, is on offer this Christmas. You can currently pick up the 128GB model for £50 a month with a £50 upfront cost for 24 months. That entitles you to 100GB of data, and Three will let you claim £300 cashback and 12 months of Disney+ for free. Overall that’s a saving of £321. And again, that’s currently cheaper than the 30GB plan on otherwise the same terms.
If you’re shopping on a budget, perhaps you’re tempted by the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G, which is available in Three’s Christmas sale for £34 a month/£30 upfront for 24 months. Again, that’s with a 100GB data allowance and includes £100 cashback and a year of Disney+.
Bored of traditional smartphones? Samsung also has deals on two of its foldable devices. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 is available on the same contract length and data package as the phones above, for £54 a month and £50 upfront. Here you can claim £150 in cashback and your 12 months of Disney+, saving you £168.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is the most expensive Samsung phone you can buy, as it’s effectively a high end tablet and smartphone in one device. £84 a month for 24 months with a £200 upfront payment may sound like a lot, but Three will give you unlimited data in return, plus £200 cashback and Disney+ for 12 months.
Three Christmas 2022 Google Pixel deals
Google doesn’t feature as heavily in Three’s Christmas sale, but you can currently switch to a 128GB Google Pixel 6 for £37 a month/£20 upfront. That’s on a 24-month 100GB contract, and will save you £144.
Three Christmas 2022 SIM-only deals
Don’t need a new phone? You can also save money on one of Three’s SIM-only 24-month plans (scroll past the phone deals). If you want unlimited you’ll get the first six months of the contract for half price at £12 a month, after which it’ll switch to the standard £24 per month.
A 250GB plan is on offer for £16 a month, which stays the same throughout, while the entry-level 30GB contract is valued at £12 per month during the Christmas sale.
