Becky Lynch almost made the leap from the WWE Universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in Eternals.
According to a report from Fightful Select Becky, who has long been rumoured to be joining the MCU, actually filmed a post-credits scene for the movie.
While the report doesn't reveal what Becky's role was, it states that the post-credits scene, which was to set something up for a future movie, unfortunately ended up on the cutting room floor.
A person with knowledge of the situation described the post-credits scene as "too depressing", but it was added that Becky could be used in a future film and bosses were happy with her portrayal.
Meanwhile, Becky did get to show off her acting skills recently, playing singer Cyndi Lauper in NBC series Young Rock.
Announcing Becky's casting on Instagram, the real-life 'Rock' Dwayne Johnson wrote: "Officially welcoming @beckylynchwwe to our YOUNG ROCK cast .
"Becky takes on the daunting and FUN task of playing the one and only – the icon Cyndi Lauper.
"I was right there for Becky’s audition and we were all very impressed at her high level commitment as an actor to become Cyndi Lauper. No easy task, but she worked her butt off and went all in – and crushed it. CAN’T WAIT for you guys to see Becky’s acting debut!!!"
Aside from acting, the former Raw Women's Champion made her return to WWE late last month after four months away due to injury.
Becky returned just in time for Survivor Series where she led Bianca Belair's War Games team to victory.
