Lost is coming to Disney+ – here's how to watch

We have to go back… to Disney+.

The hugely popular '00s series Lost is getting a new home on Disney+ when it lands on the streaming service February 23.

All six seasons of the show will be available to watch as part of Star – a new library of movies and TV shows coming to Disney+ that will join existing brands Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and Disney.

The multiple award-winning series is about the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815, who have to survive after their plane crash lands on a mysterious island.

As the show progresses we learn more about the passengers who are trying to survive on the island through flashbacks and the challenges they face – Dr Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox), Kate Austen (Evangeline Lilly), bad boy Sawyer (Josh Holloway), outdoorsy John Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Michael Dawson (Harold Perrineau) and his son Walt, plus many more clashing personalities.

Often touted as one of the best shows of all time, Lost delivers unexpected twists and great characters throughout its 121-episode run, making it must-watch viewing and one of the most talked-about shows in television history.

Lost will be available to stream on Disney+ from February 23 – if you're not already a subscriber, you can sign up to the streaming service for £5.99 a month or £59.99 for a full year.

When Star launches on Feb 23 the price of Disney+ will rise to £7.99 a month and £79.90 for the annual subscription.

If you're already a Disney+ subscriber or sign up before February 23, you'll continue paying the £5.99 price until August 22, 2021. After this date, the price will then increase to £7.99.

If you sign up for an annual subscription before February 23 you'll only pay £59.99, and the new price of £79.90 won't begin unless you renew when the year is up, making the one-year subscription the best deal if you sign up before the Star launch.

If your mobile phone network is O2, there's another way to get access to the streaming service – you can upgrade and get six months of Disney+ as one of the mobile network's selected 'Extras' deals. This also applies if you join the network as a new customer.

Don't worry if you're not ready for an upgrade – O2 customers can add Disney+ to their bill at the usual cost of £5.99, and the network will give you £2 airtime as an added bonus.

At time of writing Lost is still available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, but with the show now coming to Disney+, it's uncertain how long it will remain on the service.

If you'd rather purchase the show digitally you can buy every season of Lost on Amazon Prime Video by clicking the 'more purchase options' tab on the show page.

If you're in the US you can stream Lost on the Hulu streaming service. It's also available as part of IMDB TV which can be streamed via your Amazon account – however these services aren't available outside of US territories.

Lost isn't the only series coming to Disney+ as part of Star – other popular shows including 24, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, Atlanta, The X-Files, Black-ish and original content such as Love, Victor and The Undoing creator's new show Big Sky will also be joining the streaming service on February 23.

All these additions and more are set to double the amount of content available on Disney+ – combined with the already existing library of original shows like Marvel's WandaVision and Star Wars' The Mandalorian, there's no better time than now to join the streaming service.

Lost will be streaming on Disney+ from February 23.
