Hamilton fans will get to always be in the room where it happens as the hit musical has now arrived on Disney+.
While most movies have been delayed due to the current global situation, Disney surprised everyone by bringing forward the filmed version of Hamilton from a planned cinema release of October 15, 2021 to a Disney+ exclusive.
Lin-Manuel Miranda's multi-award-winning musical is now available to watch on Disney+ for fans to relive the experience, and newcomers to finally realise what all the fuss is about.
If you're not already a Disney+ subscriber, Hamilton will cost you just £5.99 to watch right now.
But if you don't want to be charged a monthly £5.99 subscription to the service after that, be sure to cancel before your first month is up.
Disney+ is also available to £59.99 for a year's subscription, but again, this will automatically renew after the first year is up, so be sure to cancel if you don't want to carry on as an annual Disney+ subscriber beyond the initial 12-month period.
Another option of accessing Disney+, if you're considering a new phone contract, is by signing up for selected deals with O2. Any new or upgrading O2 customers can get Disney+ for six months on the network as one of its Extras. After that initial period, you will then be charged at £5.99 per month.
Alternatively, if you aren't ready to upgrade or change your contract yet, existing O2 customers also have the option of adding Disney+ to their bills for the usual £5.99 per month – and the network will give you £2 per month in airtime credit. More details are available here.
The version of Hamilton you'll see on Disney+ isn't quite the same as the one on Broadway, even though it's got the original cast.
Miranda revealed that in order to avoid an "automatic R rating", they've had to mute two instances of the use of "f**k": " In Yorktown, there's a mute over 'I get the f**k back up again' [and] 'Southern *record scratch*kin' Democratic Republicans.'"
Hamilton star Daveed Diggs has also spoken about how he's "terrified" that the musical will be available to watch on Disney+, but he shouldn't worry as he's really quite good in it.
Hamilton is now available to watch on Disney+. Tickets to see Hamilton on stage in 2021 are available on Ticketmaster.
