WandaVision: Cast, logo, plot, air date, will it be on Netflix and everything you need to know

Wanda-WandaVision, WandaVision....

At San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel went BIG (all capitals), officially revealing what fans could expect from the MCU's Phase 4 in the coming years now that prominent figures Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) have bowed out.

One of the many new projects on the horizon (there are five TV shows and loads of movies) is WandaVision.

So, what's it all about, and when can we expect it? Here's everything you need to know.

WandaVision cast: Who's in it?

The official cast is: Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, a nosy neighbour, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, the political science student who first appeared in Thor, Randall Park as FBI agent Jimmy Woo (he first appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp), and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, the daughter of Maria Rambeau, Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers' best friend.

In Captain Marvel, she was a child, but we will see her as an adult in the series.

In the comics, it's Monica who eventually takes over Captain Marvel's responsibilities and she even leads the Avengers for a while.

Orange is the New Black's Jolene Purdy has been cast in a currently-unnamed recurring role, and Fred Melamed and Debra Jo Rupp are playing neighbours Mr and Mrs Heart.

WandaVision plot: What will happen?

Wanda and Vision (who is supposed to be dead after Avengers: Infinity War) are trying to lead their "ideal suburban lives", which sees the action play out in a 1950s TV sitcom, complete with canned laughter and all the trimmings.

But the pair soon "begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems".

Details are scarce but clearly, the couple are living in an alternate reality which will, undoubtedly, come crashing down around them.

But how? And what's the endgame? – pun fully intended.

WandaVision will hit Disney+ on Friday, January 15, 2021. Not long now!

There will be six episodes in total, and while Disney hasn't said what the rollout will be, we'd expect it to air weekly like The Mandalorian.

WandaVision: Will it be on Netflix?

So if you want to catch WandaVision and all of the other MCU TV shows and movies, that's where you'll find them. You can sign up right here.
