Kratos and Atreus are back in the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018's God of War, with God of War Ragnarök, which is out now after releasing on November 9, 2022 for PS5 and PS4.
Set three years after the last game, God of War Ragnarök takes place at the tail end of Fimbulwinter, a long winter that spans three summers in Norse mythology, that leads directly into the prophesied end of days known as Ragnarök, which you try to prevent while exploring the nine realms.
The game also continues other narrative threads teased in the last game, such as battling The God of Thunder Thor, Freya seeking revenge after the death of her son Baldur, and finding answers after Atreus' identity was revealed to be Loki.
God of War Ragnarök is a PlayStation exclusive and is available on both PS5 and PS4 at launch, and we've rounded up the cheapest prices so you can save some money when buying.

It's worth pointing out that the PS4 version doesn't include a free upgrade to PS5, and if you want to play the PS5 version with your PS4 copy, it will cost you £10 extra to upgrade.
PlayStation Digital Download + Deluxe Edition
You can buy the digital version of God of War Ragnarök from the PlayStation Store. They have a PS5, PS4 and a Digital Deluxe Edition available.
The cheapest and best way to get a PlayStation digital download code is to buy PlayStation Store wallet top-up cards, as this works out cheaper than buying direct from PSN.
God of War Ragnarök on PS5 is listed at £69.99 on the PlayStation Store, but if you buy two £35 top-up download codes from ShopTo at £30.85 each for a total of £61.70, it works out much cheaper.
The PS4 version of God of War Ragnarök is listed at £59.99 on PSN so you could buy a £50 gift card for £22.85, plus a £10 gift card for £9.85, giving you enough credit to buy it for a total of £52.70.
Another option is a £90 PSN wallet top-up card for a discounted £77.85, which will give you enough credit to buy the Deluxe Edition that's priced at £79.99 on the PSN store (with £10 left over to spend in the future on another purchase).

It's listed as £229.99 on the PlayStation store and GAME, and includes everything in the Collector's Edition, plus a 7 inch vinyl (featuring Music by Bear McCreary), Falcon, Bear & Wolf Pin Set, Yggdrasil Cloth Map, Legendary Draupnir Ring, Digital Contents Voucher and all of the digital items from the Collector's Edition.
PlayStation 5 + God of War Ragnarök Console Bundle
PlayStation have released a PS5 disc edition console bundle that includes God of War Ragnarök bundled with it in the form of a download voucher – as PS5 consoles can be difficult to get your hands on, stock may vary.
