Taking the name of his hit single and his 2016 album, Starboy will follow The Weeknd's alter ego.
"He's a character that we created," The Weeknd previously said of Starboy, during an interview with Zane Lowe. "We want to make a comic out of him as well. He's a cool, dope character."
Well, he got his wish... and it doesn't get much cooler than making a comic with Marvel, does it?
Releasing the cover of the comic on his personal social media feeds, The Weeknd teased: "The Weeknd and Marvel presents: STARBOY... comic book coming soon."
He had also been teasing fans that something big was due to be announced for the last week, sharing cropped images of the official Starboy cover on Instagram with the caption: "Comic-Con New York".
Marvel has a busy 2018 ahead, with movies such as Black Panther and Ant-Man and the Wasp due to be released, as well as the hotly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War.
On top of those huge cinema releases, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will be getting second seasons on Netflix, while the fifth season of Agents of SHIELD (which starts in December) will continue into the new year.
Starboy will be released by Marvel in 2018.
