Captain Britain would firmly be on the Remain side if he could vote in the EU Referendum.

Created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe, the character - also known as Brian Braddock - would be fighting for the UK to stay in the European Union.

"He would definitely vote for the UK to stay in Europe," writer Claremont said (via The Guardian).

Claremont added that Captain Britain is happy to represent the whole country - and that includes immigrants.

"He would see it as the point being not to lock people out of the country but finding a way to make everyone feel welcome whoever they are."

The EU Referendum is taking place on Thursday (June 23).
