Here's your weekly roundup of comics news, from a Star Wars cancellation to a DC rebranding:
The Rogue One comic has been cancelled
The three-issue prequel to December's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been cancelled.
Retailers have been informed that their orders of the comic - the latest in Marvel's successful revival of its old line - will not be filled, reports ComicBook.com. No word on the reason for the cancellation as of yet.
The popular Darth Vader series by Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca will also be ending with a 40-page issue #25 in August.
Darwyn Cooke dies
It was announced last week that much-loved artist and writer Darwyn Cooke was receiving palliative care for cancer. Sadly, shortly afterwards it was confirmed that he had died at the age of 53.
Cooke was best known for his work for DC Comics - such as Justice League: The New Frontier and Catwoman - as well as the Eisner-winning Richard Stark's Parker series at IDW. His most recent project teamed him with Love and Rockets' Gilbert Hernandez on the Vertigo miniseries The Twilight Children.
DC Comics unveils its latest logo
While Marvel's branding has remained pretty stable over the years, there's nothing that the folks at DC Comics like more than a new logo (apart from maybe a universe reboot).
The latest retro-influenced logo will arrive with the new 'Rebirth' line in Geoff Johns's DC Universe: Rebirth Special #1 on May 25. Its last logo was created for the New 52 in 2011.
Spider-Man: Dead No More reveals which character is coming back (SPOILER)
It seems like a load of characters will be revived for the upcoming Spider-Man storyline.
And not just the previously revealed Doctor Octopus, but Peter Parker's long-dead girlfriend Gwen Stacy has been confirmed to be coming back - under the influence of the mysterious Anubis-like character in the teaser (via CBR).
No promises yet that Uncle Ben will definitely stay dead. Keep those fingers crossed.
Isabel Greenberg unveils her new book
The fantastic creator of Encyclopedia of Early Earth has revealed her latest graphic novel.
The One Hundred Nights of Hero will be published by Jonathan Cape in September. Check out the preview on her website.
