Jessica Jones was a not-so-surprise-hit for Marvel Studios' ever-growing on-screen universe last year when it debuted on Netflix.

And apparently its popularity means that Jessica's beloved solo series will finally be making its way back onto comic book store shelves.

Writer Brian Michael Bendis was asked about the possibility of reviving his comic during a panel at Emerald City Comicon.

"This isn't an official announcement, but I'll tell you, in lieu of it - yes," he said (via CBR).

And apparently he'll be bringing back artist Michael Gaydos and cover artist David Mack, too.

"After Civil War II you can look for a return," Bendis continued. "I genuinely think you'll be surprised by what we do in the first issue.

"I pitched it actually to Melissa Rosenberg, who runs the TV show, at WonderCon and she said, 'Really?' But wait for the official announcement, because this is not it."

Jessica was introduced as an original character (retconning a past with some of Marvel's top heroes including Spider-Man and Luke Cage) in Alias, which was followed by the series The Pulse.

Jessica Jones will be coming back to Netflix for season two, though thanks to delays we aren't quite sure when yet...
