Here's your weekly roundup of comics news, from Marvel's Death of X to a celebration of all things burly and hairy:

DC details its Rebirth shakeup

DC Comics

DC Comics has already trickled out some of the information on its latest line-wide shakeup - including new titles, one-shots and double-shipping - but many fans were annoyed by a lack of info about the creators who would be making all that stuff happen.

At WonderCon they finally revealed some of those all important details (full list here), with highlights including Hope Larson and Rafael Albuquerque on Batgirl, writer Tim Seeley sticking with Dick on the jump from Grayson to the new Nightwing series, Greg Rucka making a welcome return to Wonder Woman with artists Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott, and Midnighter's Steve Orlando on a long-awaited new Supergirl series.

And Scott Snyder won't be going far after his Batman exit, teaming up with various artists on All-Star Batman - which he is calling "my 'Long Halloween'".

We're also getting excited about Julie Benson, Shawna Benson (The 100) and Claire Roe's Batgirl and the Birds of Prey and Phil Jimenez's Superwoman.

Burl & Furl launches its Kickstarter (finally) and totally kills it

This content is imported from Third party. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

We've been watching the progress of Irene Koh, Paul Reinwand, Ricardo Bessa and Kevin Jay Stanton's zine celebration of beefy dudes - what's not to love?

Now they've finally launched a Kickstarter for the bara manga-influenced anthology... and swiftly smashed their original goal.

It's described as "risqué, but not pornographic" - so probably on the near side of NSFW - and features contributions from some great creators including DS favourites Jake Wyatt, Kris Anka and Kevin Wada. Where do we sign?

X-O Manowar ends with issue #50

Valiant Comics

Valiant Comics has found a lot of both success and critical praise since its 2012 relaunch, and X-O Manowar was its first and arguably central title.

And now the series is coming to a close with the exit of writer Robert Venditti in September (via CBR) - though don't expect this to be the last time we see that super-armour-wearing man-out-of-time, Eric of Dacia.

Doctor Octopus is back

Marvel Comics

Marvel has been teasing the Spider-Man 'Dead No More' for a while, tormenting us with the idea that Uncle Ben might come back to life.

Maybe he will. Maybe Gwen Stacy (or one of her clones) is returning. But what's finally been confirmed is that Doc Ock lives again!

What is the Death of X?

Marvel Comics

Marvel really loves a death-themed teaser.

And now we have another new and mysterious teaser to add to the mix. What does it mean? The beleaguered X-Men (currently dying from Terrigen Mist poisoning) are a safe bet, but the logo design has also raised questions about the long-dormant, alternate reality future known as Earth X.
