Hawkeye's Jeremy Renner shares exciting update for new Disney+ show

The actor is taking on a very different project for 2023.

Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner has got a new show coming to Disney+ soon. But it's not another Marvel project, nor does it have anything to do with his music career.

As if the punny title Rennvervation doesn't give it away, the series is about the actor taking something rundown and going all Repair Shop on it. In this case, it's taking rundown and broken vehicles to give them new life and purpose for people and communities who need them most.

Renner teased that the show will be coming to the streaming service pretty soon, tweeting: "I’m so excited for the holidays . And a NEW show on @DisneyPlus early next year. #rennervations."

The four-part reality series isn't all that Renner has got coming out soon. The actor will be doing more of his day job in the second season of crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown, which is coming to Paramount+ in the US on January 15, and in the UK a day later.

Renner has also been cast in a film about the opioid crisis, playing an investigative journalist who helps unravel a pharmaceutical company that was involved in the widespread addiction to painkillers that is connected to 200,000 deaths.

Married directing duo Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly said of the project: "The real David Armstrong is a man of utmost integrity. We could not be more thrilled to have Jeremy on board to infuse that same integrity into his portrayal of David. We're excited to work with such a great team to bring this story to a global audience."

Rennervation will be on Disney+ early next year, while Hawkeye is available to stream in full on the service now.
