Dave Myers gave viewers an update on his cancer battle as he appeared on live TV for the first time since his diagnosis.
Myers revealed he has cancer earlier this year in May. He chose not to disclose what type of cancer he has and hasn't appeared on TV since. This weekend, however, he appeared on Saturday Kitchen alongside his cooking partner Si King.
"It's fantastic to be back and what a way to celebrate Christmas being here! I'm over the moon to be back. It's lovely to be back it's been a rough year and I can't pretend otherwise," Myers said.

"There are some times when I didn't think I'd be here for Christmas but I have had so much help and I have to give a shout-out to the doctors and nurses in Birmingham that put me back together and the rehabilitation team who got me walking again."
Myers continued: "And a shout out to Nurse Marion who, before my chemotherapy, brought me cake in – it was the best banana bread ever! But it's lovely to be back. Si has been looking after me. The first time we were on Saturday Kitchen was 15 years ago."
Myers, who appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, shared the diagnosis on a podcast with King, with whom he makes up the Hairy Bikers chef duo.

At the time, Myers said: "Anyway Kingy, I've got to come clean now, I haven't been too well recently and basically, I've got to have some chemo, you know all this anyway, so this year is going to be a bit quiet for me."
King shared an update on Myers' condition in August at a food and drink festival, where he thanked fans for their support and goodwill.
"He's doing canny but as you appreciate he's right in the trenches of it all at the minute but he's getting there, thank God," King said.
