Sex Education star Aimee Lou Wood is back on our screens with new movie Living, but her next big-screen outing couldn't be more different.
Talking to Digital Spy for the release of Living, Wood teased her upcoming comedy movie Seize Them! with Bridgerton and Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan, Ghosts star Lolly Adefope and Shaun of the Dead duo Nick Frost and Jessica Hynes.
That's a lot of comedy talent in one place, and it seems like Seize Them! will live up to the promise of that cast. "There are so many poo jokes, there is so much silliness. I have never laughed so much on a set," Wood revealed.
"Our director Curtis [Vowell] kept being like, 'Come on Aimee' because I couldn't get through certain scenes because they would be making me laugh so much, particularly Lolly and Nick Frost."
Seize Them! is set in dark ages Britain and sees Wood play Queen Dagan who is toppled by a revolution led by Humble Joan (Coughlan), leading to her becoming a fugitive in her own land with a hefty bounty on her head.
The Queen teams up with former servant Shulmay (Adefope) and shit-shoveller Bobik (Frost) to embark on a voyage to win back her throne.
As well as being a comedy, Wood added that because Seize Them! is also an adventure story, it was "really hard work".
"There was a lot of hiking up hills and rain and sleet and being freezing and being covered in mud and sheep shit, so it was a challenge. I definitely could have slept for a thousand years after we finished filming it," she recalled.
We're sure it was worth all of the effort.
Seize Them! does not yet have a confirmed release date, while Living is out now in UK cinemas.
