Yellowjackets is set to return in just a few months' time in the US – and one new character will literally come from within the family.
It's been confirmed that Melanie Lynskey's real-life husband Jason Ritter will join the show for season two.
It's not clear yet what role Ritter will be playing, but we do know (according to Variety) that he will only appear for one episode.

This won't be the first time that Lynskey and Ritter have worked together – they both starred in Candy earlier this year.
She said of collaborating with her husband: "It's really fun to get to work with somebody who is creative and interesting and does something different every take, which is what he does."
Lynskey plays present-day Shauna in Yellowjackets, a character who is now in an unhappy marriage with Jeff (Warren Kole).
In the meantime, teasers from the production and cast have hinted that Yellowjackets season two is going to be even wilder than the first.

Things in the nineties seem more intense than ever, with a recent teaser clip suggesting that the cannibalism hinted at in season one will come to fruition.
Christina Ricci also added that things would get "more crazy, more shocking" this time around, further mentioning that she'll be sharing a lot of scenes with new cast member Elijah Wood, who'll play Walter, a citizen detective.
In the latest news for the show, season three has also been confirmed. Whether things will get better for the Yellowjackets girls by then is anyone's guess – but it's safe to assume that their troubles will haunt them for a while yet.
Yellowjackets season 2 premieres on March 24, airing on Showtime in the US. In the UK, the show airs on Sky and NOW.
