Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Stephen Reid has claimed Teddy Thompkins as his latest murder victim in Coronation Street.

The shocking killing took place during a violent confrontation that could lead to Stephen being caught out after he slipped up in the aftermath.

In Friday's (January 20) episode, the walls once again started closing in on Stephen when Jenny Connor overheard Elaine Jones confiding in Tim Metcalfe that Stephen had cooled towards her after borrowing £12,000.

Meanwhile, a comment from Billy twigged Teddy's memory about what really happened before his accident.

Before long, Teddy was confronting Stephen outside the factory about their conversation just before he was struck down. A nervous Stephen convinced Teddy to come inside the factory so they could talk discreetly.

Once inside the factory, Teddy revealed he now remembered their row and now realises that Stephen was the one who killed his son Leo in order to have Jenny for himself.

When Teddy threatened to call the police, Stephen leapt into action by bashing his rival over the head! Having now claimed another victim, Stephen quickly tried to dispose of the body.

Stephen managed to slip Teddy's body into the roof box on Audrey's car, yet had trouble getting it back up top. Kevin, Abi and Tim joined in to help Stephen, not knowing they were moving a dead body.

Later, Stephen discovered that Audrey had taken the car to go visit a friend in the Peak District. Is Stephen finally going to be caught out for his crimes?
