Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has announced that she is expecting a baby girl with her wife Kate Brooks.
The actor shared the happy news in an appearance on Loose Women with Brooks, who is a producer for the soap, while discussing their journey to become parents.
"So baby number two is... a little girl!" an excited Hardwick revealed to the panel, who were quick to congratulate the couple on the news.
Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the ITV soap, then added that her second pregnancy has "flown by" despite having to deal with a fair bit of morning sickness.

The couple have been married for three years after eloping at Elvis' famous Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee. They already share a son named Teddy together.
Teddy was also present on the show as the couple shared the happy news.
Hardwick also confirmed the child has the same biological dad and, while they haven't met the donor, he is willing to meet the children once they turn 18 should they wish to get to know him.

The couple previously opened up about their experience with IVF, revealing to OK! that they were "lucky" to conceive first time with their son first time. "It worked first time and we got Teddy. We just couldn't believe it, and we know how lucky we were," the star said.
Hardwick announced they were expecting a second child together earlier this year. She shared an image of their son looking excited under a message which read: "COMING THIS WINTER... Baby Brooks #2."
The actor captioned the post: "We are super excited about our gorgeous news! 20 weeks today and I can almost rest a cup of tea on my bump! #bigbrother."
