Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors is in talks to star opposite Michael B Jordan in Creed III, the upcoming third instalment in the Rocky reboot series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is being eyed to play the sports drama sequel's antagonist, the boxing adversary to Jordan's Adonis Creed.
While the first film was directed by Black Panther's Ryan Coogler and the second was overseen by Steven Caple Jr (Grown-ish), Jordan will be taking over this time round, marking his directorial debut.

Sylvester Stallone, who reprised his role as Rocky Balboa in the existing Creed movies, and co-wrote them too, will not be involved. It's expected that Phylicia Rashad and Tessa Thompson, however, will return as Adonis's adoptive mother Mary Anne and partner Bianca, respectively.
Keenan Coogler (Space Jam: A New Legacy) and Zach Baylin (King Richard) are writing the script, working from an outline by the former's brother Ryan Coogler.
