And Just Like That showrunner Michael Patrick King has revealed that Kim Cattrall's Sex and the City character Samantha will still be involved in the show's second season – via text.
Samantha was written out of the reboot by having her move to London and cutting off Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) after she was fired as Carrie's book publicist.
In season one, the writers decided to keep Samantha involved by having her and Carrie communicate via text, and when asked by Variety if this would continue throughout season two, King replied with an emphatic "yes".

Viewers will recall Carrie texting Samantha in the finale asking if she wanted to meet for a drink, to which Samantha agreed. King shared that every writer had a "different version of what happened during that conversation".
"So, I think there was some champagne," he continued. "I think there was a grown-up back and forth, and a love affair that they realised that something's more important than being afraid to heal. I'm sure they had a great night.
"To me, they had a great night and things became resolved. Once Carrie let go of an old, old love, one of her current loves came back in."

Cattrall recently opened up about the direction the show took her iconic character in, revealing that it "feels different than the Samantha that I played".
She went on to comment on the reboot's overall plot and compared it to the cancelled Sex and the City 3 movie.
"The series is basically the third movie. That's how creative it was," she said.
And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on HBO Max in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
