His Dark Materials star Amir Wilson has spoken on the future of his series The Letter for the King.
The Netflix fantasy show debuted back in early 2020, and follows the actor's knight Tiuri as he sets out on a perilous adventure to deliver a letter to a king who lives across a mountain range.
There has been no official confirmation of a second season since its first six episodes debuted nearly three years ago, though Wilson – who plays Will Parry in His Dark Materials – said he would "jump" at the chance if it does happen in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy.

"If Netflix were to do a season 2 of it, I would jump to it straight away," he said. "I’d be kind of gutted if we didn’t.
"I had such a great time on that show, and I’ve met people on that show that I’m still friends with now. I saw Jack, who plays Foldo, one of the characters on the show. I saw him the other week for a drink. I’m still really close with everyone on that cast."
Wilson admitted there were "all kind of newbies in the industry at that point", recalling: "They kind of got six or seven of us, and kind of chucked us in New Zealand for two months, and chucked us in the Czech Republic for two months, just living with each other.

"We built this incredible family, which is really, really sweet. I would love to go back to that role, definitely," he added.
"There was talk of season 2 when we were filming it, but I just don’t think it ended up happening."

Speaking last year, Iona actress Thaddea Graham gave us a disappointing update on The Letter for the King's future, saying they "haven't heard a yes or a no".
"I suppose that's good, that it's not been an outright no, and I think all of us would go back – I mean, who doesn't want to go back, and ride horses, and play with swords?" she added.
"I think that would be a lot of fun, and there's a lot to explore in that world as well."
The Letter for the King is streaming now on Netflix. His Dark Materials airs on BBC One in the UK and HBO in the US.
