Loose Women's Linda Robson responds to rumours of a feud with This Morning's Phillip Schofield

"It wasn’t deliberately not clapping them; we were just sad for us."

Loose Women's Linda Robson has responded to claims of a feud between her and This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, saying she has "no issue" with the presenters.

Rumours of a rift between Robson and the pair emerged after she appeared not to clap for the duo as they picked up the award for Best Daytime TV Show at the National Television Awards.

Speaking to The Sun about the incident, Linda revealed she was simply upset that her show missed out on the award. "There is no issue between me, Holly and Phil," she said.

"We just showed that we were disappointed that we lost, and we are allowed to be disappointed."

She continued: "It wasn’t that we didn’t clap, we were just going ‘oh no, not again, we haven’t won this year'. It wasn’t deliberately not clapping them; we were just sad for us."

The This Morning presenters once again picked up the NTA gong for Best Daytime Show, despite recently facing backlash from the public after being accused of queue jumping while attending Queen Elizabeth II's lying in state.

Schofield also dismissed rumours of a growing rift between him and Willoughby during their acceptance speech, calling her "the most amazing friend".

"Please don't think we ever get complacent, and please don't ever think we take this for granted. It means so much to us, every year, especially this year. We have the most amazing team, I have the most amazing friend, we have the best boss, our team are up there," he said.

Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
