The White Lotus' Jennifer Coolidge says dying in season 3 would be “too good” for this character

"I think he deserves a terrible fate."

The White Lotus season 2 spoilers follow.

The White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge has a few ideas in mind to avenge her character, heiress Tanya McQuoid.

The Legally Blonde actress first appeared as Tanya in season one, a role she reprised in this second instalment alongside Jon Gries as Tanya's husband Greg.

Season 2 revealed Greg was planning to get rid of his wife in order to get his hands on her fortune. While Tanya ultimately dies in a tragic accident (and after having taken down Greg's associates), her husband's fate remains unknown.

"My hope for Greg is that he ends up in some horrific jail somewhere. I think dying would be just too good, too easy for him," Coolidge shared with Deadline.

"He's a really creepy guy and was plotting this woman's murder. From the beginning, he saw a woman with a lot of money and wanted to take it from her, and take her life. So, I think he deserves a terrible fate."

Coolidge has also looked back on the moment she learnt Tanya was going to die from creator Mike White himself.

Apparently, White told The Watcher star about the new location first, hoping the hype of going to Sicily would soften the blow.

"He said, ‘Sicily is incredible. That's where we're going to film White Lotus 2. You're going to lose your mind, Jennifer. It's so beautiful here'," she recalled. "And then he goes, 'Oh yeah, one other thing. You're going to die'."

The anthology series has seemingly shut down every possibility to see Coolidge in an already confirmed season 3. Though, if the actress returns as Tanya's long-lost twin sister, we'd certainly watch.

The White Lotus airs on HBO Max in the US, and on Sky Atlantic, Sky Go and NOW in the UK.
