Death in Paradise star Ralf Little has reacted to his friend Will Mellor joining Strictly Come Dancing's 2022 series.
The former Coronation Street star was the first celebrity to be announced for this year, and Ralf was quick to wish him the best of luck on the dance floor.
Sharing the announcement on Twitter, Ralf wrote: "The news is out! Old Snakehips @Mellor76 is on Strictly! Expect at least three dances to be set to Mustang Sally… @bbcstrictly Good luck pal!"
The duo worked together on sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps from 2001 up to 2006, when Ralf left. They now host podcast Two Pints with Will & Ralf together.
A spin-off Two Pints series focusing on their characters Jonny and Gaz has been in the works, but it has run into some bumps.
"The BBC said no, they don't want to revisit Two Pints," Will recently admitted. "Now we're going to look for someone else, whether it's another channel, whether it's Britbox or Netflix, because there's a massive audience for this."
Reacting to joining BBC's popular reality TV show, Will said: "I'm honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year. Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about.
"This is also my mum's favourite show and she's had a really tough few years, so I'm doing this is for her as well. Bring it on!"
Kym Marsh, another former Coronation Street star, was announced as the second celebrity joining for 2022.
"I've considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I'm so delighted that this year they have," she said. "I'm a huge fan of the show and can't believe I'm going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress. It's unreal!"
More stars are set to be announced in the coming days, with the show returning in the autumn.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
