Death in Paradise star Kris Marshall wants to apologise to the Sanditon team for a big trouser malfunction during the second season of the show.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he revealed more details about how that unfortunate incident happened.
"Lauren, our lovely costume designer, when I spoke to her at the beginning before season two, she said: 'What sort of ideas do you have about your costume?' and I said: 'I'll just give you one word, and that's slinky'. Because I love how fitted Tom's costumes are and how tight the trousers are, because it sort of makes me... I sort of become the character when I put the costume on," he said.

"Tom's very peacock-ish. He struts and is very sort of on the front foot with his costumes and he's very stylish, and quite, almost loud. But yeah the costumes at times were extremely slinky! So yeah, I ripped trousers weekly.
"I must have gone through a particular pair of black trousers that I loved but I just couldn't bend down in them, or God forbid if I did some lunges! I would rip weekly, and we all have our own dressers, who made sure really more for the continuity of the costume... they don't actually dress us. I would go up to my dresser, and I say: 'I'm terribly sorry Danny, they've gone again'.
"I'd show her, she'd sort of sigh and get the darning out and then she'd go: 'Right, take your trousers off!'. I did notice actually [they made them] a little looser in series three because I was ripping them so often."

Marshall has had to shed clothing on purpose for the camera in the past too. In the first season of the show, Marshall flashed his bum, which garnered a lot of attention among fans.
Speaking about the response to that, he said: "I don't think it truly surprised me but I think I was a bit surprised how fixated they were about it! You know, I thought, given what we see on TV these days, and with the proliferation of platforms and what they can put on Netflix, and the kind of content you can view now... It was really not... it was a gentleman's bare arse! It was very PG.”
After premiering on BritBox, Sanditon season two returns Friday 22 July at 9pm on ITV. Viewers in the US can watch it on Masterpiece on PBS. Death in Paradise airs on BBC One.
