Prince Harry has confirmed that he does indeed watch The Crown.

As part of his promotional tour to promote his much-talked-about memoir Spare, the Duke of Sussex stopped by US chat show The Late Show last night (January 10).

During the conversation with Stephen Colbert, Harry was asked about whether he watches the Netflix drama about his family.

"Yes, I have actually watched The Crown," he replied. "[I've watched] the older stuff and the more recent stuff."

The Royal was then asked whether he fact-checks the series while watching, Harry responding: "Yes, I do actually, which by the way is another reason why it’s so important that history has it right."

The talk comes days after ITV aired an interview with Harry, where he spoke about his reasons for speaking about his family, as well as whether he would attend his father King Charles III's coronation this year.

"There’s a lot that can happen between now and then," he said. "But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it."

Harry and wife Meghan Markle recently aired a six-part documentary series on Netflix, which ended up beating the most-recent season of The Crown in ratings for the streamer.

2.4 million people tuned in on the day of the show's release last month, according to viewing figures, doubling the viewers who tuned into The Crown a month before.

The Crown seasons 1-5 are streaming on Netflix. Seasons 1-4 are also available on DVD and Blu-ray.
