Sex Education season 4 casts Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy and Doctor Who's Thaddea Graham

The cameras are now rolling for season 4.

Hit series Sex Education has added more new faces to the cast ahead of season 4.

Joining the cast is Emmy winning actor Dan Levy (Schitt's Creek) and Doctor Who's Thaddea Graham.

Netflix announced Levy's casting via Twitter, sharing a photo of him in character as Thomas Molloy, who is a famous author and tutor to Maeve.

Further details about Graham's role have not been revealed, but she will be joining the cast alongside Levy, Marie Reuther, Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean and Imani Yahshua.

Netflix have also confirmed that season 4 is now officially in production, providing an official description which reads: "Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College.

"Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level.

"Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus."

Asa Butterfield, who plays Otis Milburn, had previously confirmed work on season 4 had begun. Sharing an image of himself on Twitter outside of his trailer, he captioned the image: "Guess who's back?"

Despite the news of several cast members leaving the show, Butterfield will be returning alongside several of the original stars, including Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie and Samantha Spiro.

Sex Education seasons 1-3 are available on Netflix now. Season 4 is now in production.
