The Great British Sewing Bee's Christmas special had a new host, with Sara Pascoe taking over from Joe Lycett and the comedian is set to continue presenting the show now that Lycett has decided to step down from his hosting duties.
Sara explained that Joe gave her some advice when she took over, telling Metro: "I felt like he was a midwife in the crossover. I actually did a gig with him the night I auditioned because they auditioned a few people.
"I was saying how it went and how I thought I was too shy, and he was giving lots of advice.

"Then he was the first person to text because he knew before it was publicised. He also knows what a lovely job I’m walking into.
"I’ve learnt lots of new words about sewing."
Speaking about how well-loved the show is, she continued: "I think Joe was such a huge part of that popularity in the most recent season. So I was very aware that everyone’s lost their special boy.
"Once we started, obviously, it felt like it was mine."

Lycett shared the news he was stepping away from the show after three years on his Twitter.
"A bit of news: I loved my journey on @sewingbee but I’ve decided it is time for me to go," he wrote in September.
"My friend the great @sarapascoe will be the new host and I know she will be fantastic. Big love to all the brilliant team, and go Sara!"
Sewing Bee was originally presented by Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman from 2013 to 2016. It then took a three-year hiatus, with Lycett taking over the hosting role.
There was also a series of special episodes where various celebrities took part for Children In Need.
Comedian Jenny Eclair, radio DJ Sara Cox and presenter Anita Rani all hosted an episode each.
The Great British Sewing Bee is available to catch up on BBC iPlayer.
